JWKC/MWCAG was established to help members network, hone their writing craft, and – if needed – develop the skills needed to navigate publishing as a career in children’s literature.
We celebrate all levels of success — from finishing that first manuscript to landing the first book deal. While each member’s needs and goals differ, we welcome whatever you have to offer — be it your experience, expertise, or enthusiasm
JWKC/MWCAG is an all volunteer organization. There are no paid staff. 100% Dues is allocated to program expenses and educational materials.
The Advisory Board consists of long-standing and newer members who volunteer time to track various issues from membership dues to conference and chapter event planning. Board members participate on a rotating basis.
Benefits and opportunities include:
• Networking and support through the private listserv.
• Newsletter filled with tips, leads and articles.
• Career and skills development with through workshops and events.
• Discounted rates for most events including Missouri Writers Guild conferences
